Visitor Campaign

 

THE PROBLEM

Transylvania is often thought of as a fictional town found in the book Dracula. This campaign was directed to entice visitors to the region of Romania known as Transylvania, a place with a dark history, old-world style, and modern means.

The Story

 

Transylvania, known also as “The Land Beyond the Forest”, takes you back into the old world while still being in the present. Its medieval structures are well preserved, castles are sprinkled throughout the land, gorgeous landscapes can be seen everyone, and there you can find traditions that have withstood the test of time.

If you know about Transylvania then you likely know of Dracula. Some people don’t even realize it is a real city. The city has a dark history with Vlad the Impaler and the many deaths that occurred and the inspiration for a global legend was created.

Transylvania was looking for a visitors campaign that combined both their traditions and old-world appeal with their modernity while acknowledging its dark past but not solely focusing on it.

The logo mark was inspired by the traditional artwork of the region while the typeface was influenced by the campaign’s desire to blend both modern and traditional.
